To spread the message of women empowerment the most popular movie “Dangal” starring Aamir Khan will be screened for the Members of Parliament on 23 March, Thursday.
The movie will be screened on the activity of Lok Sabha Speaker Sumita mahajan. It will be presented in Parliament’s Balayogi auditorium once the session gets over in the evening.
The Secretary General of Lok Sabha, Anoop Mihra said ” It is my pleasure to inform you that the Speaker has desired that popular Hindi Film Dangal be screened for the Members of both Houses on Thursday, march 23 at 1830 hrs. I would be grateful if could kindly make it convenient to grace the occasion along with your spouse.”
The Welfare department of the Lok Sabha Secretariat is organizing this event.
A senior official said ” The objective is to send across the message of women empowerment so that the law makers can promote it in their respective constituencies”.
Dangal is an extraordinary true story based on the life of Mahavir Singh and his two daughters, Geeta and Babita Phogat. The film is about the inspirational journey of a father who trains his daughters to become world class wrestlers.
Also, the play “Chanakya” was staged for the members of parliament last year.
